Cynefin Community Land Trust grew out of Presteigne Community Land Trust and inherited its assets in May 2019.

According to our constitution we exist to enable people to live in homes that are affordable, to work locally, buy locally generated energy and eat locally grown food in a regenerative and culturally beneficial way in Wales following ‘One Planet’ Development principles.

We are registered with the National Community Land Trust Network.

The CLT has three directors and a facilitator:

James Scrivens – Director of Agroecology Land Trust.

Patricia Dodd Racher – member of Calon Cymru Network and author of a feasibility study which recommended that this CLT be set up

Alan New – retired civil servant and smallholding owner

Facilitator David Thorpe, co-founder/patron of the One Planet Council and director of the Centre for One Planet Living.
